I haven't come up with a name I like for my most recent project. It's a simple cowl using two similar colors of the same yarn. Using a 7mm circular needle, cast on 60 stitches (I actually used the crochet cast on--something I just learned so I wanted to try it. Join in the round with one twist. Knit to half your desired height. Switch to second color and K1P1 for one round. Purl with the new color to desired height (until it's the almost size as the first color). Cast-off. I let the fabric curl with purl side out for this look. You could certainly block it flat and wear it other ways. This thing knit up in a few hours of mindless knitting (no pattern to follow, no counting stitches).
