Garden Orange Wristers

Updated: Apr 3, 2018

This yarn is called "carrot." it's a stretchy pattern that is bigger than it looks. Only knits and purls and only one row pattern you repeat to your desired length. As easy as peeling carrots.

CHECK YOUR GAGE AND HAND SIZE AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.

Leaving a long tail (for sewing up part of the side later), cast on 24 (or multiple of 3)

*k2p1* across

repeat to desired length

This creates a pattern in columns: one that always looks K, one that alternates kp, and one (if you look-it gets hidden) that’s all purl.

Cast off in pattern at desired length: note, to keep this stretchy pattern when casting off, I added a stitch into the cast-off after every three stitches. Just yarn over and knit that yarn over through your stitch (you should only have one stitch on the needle after each knit or purl/cast off.

Sew using a tapestry needle with your yarn: from top for two inches. Leave 2 1/2 inch opening for the thumb. Sew bottom. (3 inches—in my pattern—but it depends how long you make yours). Adjust these based on hand size.
