I saw an adorable pattern for a toddler poncho and knew it had to be my next project. Shuffling through a bin of yarn on sale at Joanne's, I found this 100% cotton yarn. It was a large skein, but even so, I was concerned if it would be enough for a poncho. And then I saw a small skein of the white yarn with spots of similar color and it all came together. Of course, knitting with this type of cotton yarn is different from the yarn intended for this pattern (and most yarns) because it has little give. Based on the pattern, I think this ended up sized for 2T and/or 3T. Turns out I had plenty of the color changing yarn. but I kept with my plan to make the pocket and hood with the coordinating yarn. No toddlers or even babies in my family or close friends at the moment, so I should be posting this on my etsy site to sell it. And then I really should focus on items people want to by for the holidays.
